🌳 REGENERATIVE IS IN: Global non-profit Rainforest Alliance released their 2023 Annual Report this week, announcing a bigger shift from “sustainability” to regenerative approaches in agriculture. Supporting over 7.5M farmers and workers, the organization said "We need to not only stop harmful practices but also accelerate those that heal, restore, and regenerate the landscapes and communities on which our lives depend. Our destination is regeneration, and we’re all in.

🍺 CHEERS TO PROGRESS: A craft brewery developed fully compostable and edible six-pack rings for their brews, an innovative and eco-friendly substitute for the plastic version. "Crafted entirely from barley and wheat ribbons leftover from the brewing process, these rings are not only 100% biodegradable but also safe for consumption by animals encountering discarded materials," says Saltwater Brewery in Florida.

🌎 CONDENSED CONSERVATION: Scientists say protecting just 1.2% of the Earth's surface would be enough to prevent the extinction of some of our planet's most vulnerable species. The new study's lead authors say over 16k specific sites on Earth should be "prioritized for conservation in the next five years to prevent imminent extinctions of animals and plants found nowhere else."
